Here's a few ideas!

Quinoa (maybe as a replacement for flour for a gluten free cupcake?) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quinoa

Quark cheese - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quark_(cheese)

Quaking pudding - http://www.probertencyclopaedia.com/cgi-bin/res.pl?keyword=Quaking+Pudding&offset=0

Quaker Oats?
Quail? Maybe something made with Quail eggs?

I just googled it and I found Queen Cake - that could be good!

I like the Quick Oats or the Quince (makes me think of the Owl and the Pussycat). How about "Quince Honeymoon Cakes"?

considering that the googling i did resulted in a lot of clams and the like, i think i'll vote for quaker oats and quince. ;-) or maybe queen anne's lace - but do decorations count?

Q - only thing that came to mind immediately was queasy (everyone is sick in our house!)

Quik, as is Nesquik? I used to know it as Quik when I was a kid...or maybe that's too much of a stretch.

kumquats!

The "q" is in the middle, but it's a fruit and therefore an exciting cupcake possibility. :)

Or... perhaps the poll is already up. :) Never mind...

Hi, I came across quenelle (refers to meat but also... chocolate mousse!)

From the BBC website:
Quenelle
A fine minced fish or meat mixture formed into small portions and poached in stock and served in a sauce, or as a garnish to other dishes. The term quenelle is also used to describe the decorative shape of the portions - a neat, three-sided oval (a bit like a mini rugby ball!) formed by smoothing the mixture between two dessertspoons. A quenelle can be formed from other foods such as chocolate mousse.

Can it be a savoury cupcake? How about Quiche?! i love cupcakes and I love quiche so I'd imagine the two combined would be yum! But difficult! x
