New Years Eve and Sparkler Fun

My sister, Janice (our good friend) and I had a lot of fun with sparklers on New Years Eve - and my sister being the media studies gal that she is put together this short video using all of the photos that we took on the night.

I hope you like it...

Creative Thursday

My mum came to visit the other day and brought me a lovely big stash of threads and needles that my grandma used to own. Don't they all look pretty together! Now I actually need to do some sewing at some stage to use my massive thread collection, but not until I have finished my current projects. I always start too many things at one time and take forever to finish them.

Speaking of current projects, I have decided to cut out the rest of my cupcake lino prints to make them into gift tags. I still need to hole punch them all - but would you believe I don't have a hole punch?! What kind of stationery lover am I?

Another ongoing project is my cross stitched chicken and it is getting there slowly. I hope to have it finished by next week and I must say I am looking forward to having it over and done with.

Creative Thursday

This week I have been a bit naughty and haven't had any crafty time - instead I have been playing with my new camera. So enjoy a few photos that I have taken this week...

Zoe at lunch time - drooly!

Zoe after our daily walk, looking pretty in pink.

A plant in our back yard - I have finally learned to water my plants so they don't die.

A very happy unbirthday to me!

Hubby got me an extremely early birthday present (since my birthday isn't until August) - a new Canon EOS 1000D!!! I am so excited, I have been wanting a new camera for quite a while now and this is just awesome! I need lots of practice with it, and I might even take a short course in photography - I love it!!
